Bill’s hobbies consisted of: CB ham radio, coon hunting and raising coon hounds, stock car racing, rebuilding his antiques cars, trapping, whitetail deer hunting, fishing and collecting his pictures that were captured on his wild cameras on his land. Bill had recently had a special place in his heart for his new great-grandson, Trey (Opie), who spent many days at Grandpa Bill’s house helping to take care of him. Bill also enjoyed his Thursdays with his dear friend Clarence when they went to Haugen for their potato pancakes. Sundays were a very special day for Bill, as he and his grandson Billy would take his Mom (Alice) to the “ Dinner Bell” Restaurant in Trego for lunch and then took her for a nice drive afterwards and talked about the “Good Old Days”. Bill was well known for his willingness to always be there for anyone for anything. If you needed it, Bill was there. And if you stopped by his house you knew the coffee was always on.
