William Bachmeier

William P. "Bill" Bachmeier was born on July 16th, 1943 to Zacheus "Sig" and Katherine (Loeb) Bachmeier in Mclntosh, SD. Bill attended school in Elbow Lake where he graduated in 1961. He went on to work as a lineman for Donovan Construction until his retirement in 2008.
Bill was an avid outdoorsman. He loved hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling. Bill would often find any and every opportunity to use his John Deere tractor no matter how small the job was.
Bill was an active member of the Loyal Order of Moose and The American Legion. He was an avid supporter of the Wounded Warrior Project and the Special Olympics.
He was preceded in death by siblings: Marianne Mitchell; Avelina Helgeson; Geraldine Wasfaret and Garald Bachmeier.
He is survived by his loving wife, Madalene Bachmeier, Hertel, WI; his children, Zacheus Bachmeier, Hugo, MN; Michelle Jarvis, Cambridge, MN; Joseph (Shelly) Marsala, Center City, MN; Tony (Kandice) Marsala, Forest Lake, MN; Sarah (Beth) Koponen, Maplewood, MN; siblings, Larry (Jeni) Bachmeier; Tim Bachmeier; Luella Thiel; Tillie Anderson; Connie Ascheman and Sharon Bachmeier; along with many beloved grandchildren, nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, September 14, 2020 at 3:00 PM with a visitation from 1:00-3:00 PM at Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home, Webster. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.
