Wanda Champine

Wanda June Champine, age 87, of Grantsburg, passed away Monday morning, April 21, 2014. Wanda was born in Danbury, WI, on June 4, 1926, a daughter of the late Ashley Bert and Mabel (Peterson) Champine. She had worked for many years as a photographer with Lifetouch Photography in Minneapolis. She was a strong supporter of the Disabled American Veterans (DAV). Wanda was an excellent cook and loved being outdoors. She enjoyed trail biking and decorating her home. Surviving are a son, Thomas Peterson; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Louise (Harvey) Pardun; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Renee Helme; and a sister, Janet Opelt. Services for Wanda Champine are private.
