Vera L. Krueger, age 87, a resident of Danbury passed away Sunday, May 14, 2017. Vera was born February 16, 1930 to the late Sigfrid and Viola (Johnson) Anderson in Denzel, Saskatchewan. Vera was united in marriage to Howard Krueger on June 9, 1951 at the German Lutheran Church in Glenwood City, Wisconsin. Vera was an active member of the Wonderland Trails Snowmobile Club and the Dairyland Antique Car Club. Vera enjoyed attending the numerous meat raffles in the area, supporting local organizations and being able to visit with friends. She was widely known as the “Muffin Lady” who loved to bake and always had something sweet to share. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 65 years, Howie on February 27, 2017 and her parents. Vera will be sadly missed by her children, Garold Krueger and Vickie (John) Elkin; grandchildren: Kristia (Jay) Meyers, Tiffany Krueger (Jon Blazevic), Kyle Elkin and Kaylynn Elkin: her sister, Joyce (John) Stinson; brothers, Wendel Anderson, Leonard (Vickie) Anderson and Lloyd (Ann) Anderson; along with many other relatives and community full of friends. The funeral service for Vera will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 1:00 PM (visitation 11 AM- 1 PM) at Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home, Webster with Pastor Jody Walters officiating. Interment will be held Monday, May 22, 2017 at 1:00 PM at the Willow River Cemetery in Hudson, Wisconsin. Arrangements were entrusted to Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home, Webster.
