Thomas John Yescavage, age 66, passed away unexpectedly in Duluth, Minnesota on March 6, 2025. Tom was born on July 16, 1958 in St. Paul, Minnesota (Ramsey County) to Juen (Behr) and Walter Yescavage. Tom lived a life filled with hard work, love, and an appreciation for the simple joys of life.
Tom was a proud veteran (Sergeant) of the United States Air Force. Tom was stationed at K.I. Sawyer AFB, Michigan. Tom earned accolades from his superior officers for his dedication and performance, not a surprise. Tom had a passion for flying and enrolled in flight school where he was certified and earned his private pilot's license. Tom also enjoyed playing golf, fishing, boating and skiing. Following his service, he spent many years on the road as a truck driver, hauling fuel tankers across the country with skill and pride.
In his retirement years, country-line dancing took second fiddle to his deep passion for trap shooting. He was always up for a good meal, especially when it came to desert and his sweet tooth. He had an infectious sense of humor; always ready with a joke to brighten someone's day. A lifelong car enthusiast, he could talk for hours about engines, horsepower, and the latest models. He also had a knack for online shopping, always on the hunt for the next great find.
Above all, Tom was a family man. Tom is survived by Lynda Yescavage (Helm), two daughters, Kathleen Richards (Eric Richards), Kristina Yescavage and three granddaughters; Emma, Avalynn and Brynlee Richards, sisters Linda Mersch (Jimmy), Julie Zorn (Michael), Joann Flanagan (Brian) and Janet Shenk (Doug), step daughters Candace Schroeder (Jason) and Tracy Johnson. Including many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded by death by his sister Sharon Pugh and Ronald Yescavage, and nephew Brent Yescavage.
It brought Tom much joy to share the word of Jesus Christ with others. The love of family was very important to him. Rest easy Tom. Your easy-going, soft-spoken nature, kindness, laughter, and stories will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing you.
