Thomas Schultz

Thomas M. Schultz, age 74, of Pine City, MN died July 28, 2014. Thomas was born on December 24, 1939 in Trout Lake Township, Itasca County, MN to Martin and Virginia Schultz. Thomas served as a Corporal in the United States Marine Corp and was honorably discharged in 1959. He married Joyce on September 10, 1960 in Itasca County, MN. Thomas worked as a welder for 30 years, retiring from Premier Marine in Wyoming, MN. In his free time he enjoyed fishing, building bird houses and carpentry. He was preceded in death by his son, Ernest; his parents; and his brothers Alvin, Clarence and Billy. He is survived by his wife Joyce; children Ginny (Harry Bolton) Boykin, Dora (Ken Starks) Schultz and Kellie (Michael) Rush; grandchildren Jessica, Jennifer, Kira, Michael, Jillian, Angela, David, Jamie, Misty, and Kaleb; great grandchildren Shannon, Victoria, Nana, Blake, Zachery, Timmy, Riley, Precious, Natalie, Adalynn, Dessiree, Kenneth and Titus; his brother Jimmy Schultz and sister Phyllis (Ron) Sams; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 1, 2014 at 2:00 PM (visitation 1-2 PM) at Swedberg-Taylor Family Funeral Home, Grantsburg Chapel with Gene Olson officiating.
