Steven Christensen

Steven Leslie Christensen, age 75, a resident of Danbury, WI., passed away on December 28, 2023 at home with his loved ones by his side.

Steven was born on February 28, 1948 in Frederic, WI., to parents Leslie Christensen and Margie (Ludwig).

After graduating from high school Steven was drafted into the United States Army where he served his Country from 1967 to 1969 when he was honorably discharged.

Steven worked for the United States Postal Service as a mail handler.

Steven married Star McKenzie on November 15, 1969 in Milltown, WI.

In his free time Steven enjoyed fishing, hunting and golfing.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Leslie Christensen and Margie Lugwig; stepfather, Leo Ludwig; father-in-law, Al McKenzie; mother-in-law, Irma Hill; brother-in-law, Allen Jenssen, niece, Christy Tackit; and nephew, Andy McKenzie.

He will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 54 years, Star; beloved dog, Packer; children, Laura (Bob) Christensen and Todd (Dawn) Christensen; grandchildren, Brian, Amanda and Taylor; great grandchildren, Aiden and Carrie Ann; step mother, Trixie Christensen; sister, Carol Jenssen; brother-in-law, Arlo (Connie) McKenzie; sisters-in-law, Ranee Nielsen, Faye (John) Riedner and Judy (Jerry) Rice; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The funeral service for Steven will be held on Monday, January 8, 2024 at 2:00 PM (visitation from 1:00 -2:00 PM) at Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home, Webster, WI., with Military Honors to follow. There will be a Celebration of Life immediately following the service at the Gandy Dancer Saloon 7576 Co Rd U Danbury. Online condolences can be made at www.swedberg-taylor.com.
