Scott R. Woods, age 69, a resident of Siren died Wednesday, May 31, 2017. Scott was born on June 27, 1947 in Siren to Wilbur, Sr. and Clarice (Biggs) Woods. Scott served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Era. Once out of the service, Scott worked in construction and as a machinist. He was always building something and airplanes and rockets were a few of his favorites. His love of the outdoors allowed him to enjoy hunting, snowmobiling, and fishing in Canada. Scott would never say no to a good meal, he loved food. He was preceded in death by his parents: brothers, Wilbur “Butch”, Jr., and Albert; his sister Clarice “Snookie”. Scott will be sadly missed by his children: Sam Woods, Mindy (Jeff) Zappa, Sarah Woods, and Megan Woods; his grandchildren: Brianna, Sam, Mae, Rylie, Kaleb, Callie, Poppy and baby Z; his sisters Terry (Wayne) Glenna, Fern Woods, and Willa Cole; his loving companion, Kitsu; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, June 25, 2017 from 1-4 PM at Indian Creek Tavern-American Legion. A committal will be held on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Northern Wisconsin Veteran Memorial Cemetery in Spooner with military honors.
