Scott Joe Vandervelden, age 51, a resident of Frederic, WI passed away on April 24, 2022 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, MN.
Scott was born on September 25, 1970 in Mora Hospital in Kanabec County MN to parents Joe Vandervelden and Janet (Vogel) Lindberg.
Scott graduated from Grantsburg High School in 1989.
Scott worked as a boat mechanic and was exceptionally good at it. He loved the water and enjoyed ice racing in the wintertime. He loved to build things especially model boats. Scott also enjoyed going to derbies in the summertime and spending time with family and friends. Scott also like to arm wrestle, he loved to win and hated to lose.
Scott is preceded in death by his father, Joe Vandervelden; grandparents; and aunt, Joby.
He is survived by his mother, Janet (Paul) Lindberg; children, Ricky (Jessica) Vandervelden, Dillion Vandervelden, Alexis Hunting, Paige Kelley, Dalton Vandervelden; siblings, Al (Suzie) Vandervelden, Bobbie (Jamie) Vandervelden, Holly (Tony) Armato; significant other, Lori Kelly; along with many other relatives and friends.
A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at Traders Round-A-Bout Bar & Grill (7330 State Road 70 Webster, WI 54893) from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
