Sandra “Sandy” Marie Lindberg , age 73, of Grantsburg, passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at the Burnett Medical Center. Sandy was born on March 9, 1944 in St. Paul, MN to parents, Rose Marie (Robbins) and Robert Dyer. She attended and was a member of the 1963 Grantsburg High School Class. Sandy earned her Certified Nursing Assistant Certification and was employed by Grantsburg Hospital for many years. She then went on to employment as a Machinist at Parker Hannifin in Grantsburg, she retired after 20 years of service. On May 27, 1978, Sandy married John Lindberg. She and John enjoyed their time together out on their property in West Marshland Township. She also liked gardening flowers and various foods, reading, hunting and spending time outdoors. Sandy was a true animal lover who opened her heart and home to many over the years. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered as a loving wife, devoted mother, caring grandmother and friend to all. Preceding Sandy in death are her parents; brother, Robert Dyer; half-brother, Terry Dyer; and half-sister, Roberta Dyer. Sandy is survived by her loving husband, John Lindberg; children, Alyce Davidsavor, Mitchell (Okyo) Davidsavor, Jessica (Darryn) Mott and Rose (Karl) Olson; grandchildren: Nicholas Davidsavor, Michelle Davidsavor, Robert Mott, Silas Olson and Gage Olson; 1 great-grandchild, William Davidsavor; 2 sisters, Bonnie (Gene) Perry and Alice (Steve) Swenson; furry “family”, Smokey the dog and Charcoal the cat; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at 11:00am (visitation from 10-11:00am) at the Ekdall Church, 13295 County Rd. F, Grantsburg, WI. Interment will follow the service at the Ekdall Cemetery. A time of fellowship will be held at the Grantsburg American Legion.
