Ruth Foust

Ruth Ann Foust, age 70, a resident of Grantsburg died August 27, 2014. Ruth was born on July 15, 1944 in Grantsburg to Louie and Eleanor Becvar. Ruth started working with her mom at the Duncan Yo-Yo Factory at the age of 19 years old. She later worked at Fairview Hospital for 20 years. Ruth was an avid bowler, and a member of the national 600 club. She enjoyed fishing, archery league, viewing flower gardens and maintaining her own flower gardens. She was always up for a family adventure and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She and Rick were married in 1996. She is preceded in death by her parents Louie and Eleanor Becvar; brothers Robert, John and James. She is survived by husband Rick Foust; children Michael (Sandra) Rodman of Rochester, MN; Kathleen (Brent) Petersen of North Branch, MN; Colleen (Matt) Johnson of Grantsburg, WI; stepchildren Lisa Olson of Centerville, MN; Chris Foust of Minneapolis, MN; Tina (Rick) Kolby of Ramsey, MN; Rick (Jessica Romero) Foust of Princeton, MN; grandchildren Garrett Johnson, Wyatt Rodman, Logan Johnson, Parker Rodman, and Alea Petersen; step grandchildren: Shantel Foust, Tiffany Ellingworth, Jimmy (Sofia) Kolby, Colton Foust and Tianna Foust; step great grandchildren Jayden Foust, Keynan Foust, Khylah Jantz, and Caden Jantz. A memorial service will be held Friday, September 5, 2014 at 11:00 AM (visitation 10-11 AM) at New Hope Lutheran Church, Grantsburg with Pastor Emory Johnson officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Wyatt Rodman, Parker Rodman, Garrett Johnson, Logan Johnson, Alea Petersen and Jimmy Kolby. Arrangements were entrusted to Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home, Grantsburg.
