Roy Alfred Facklam, age 71, a resident of Grantsburg, WI., passed away on July 12, 2024 at the Burnett Medical Center.

Roy was born on December 27, 1952 in Siren, Wisconsin, he was a man of many talents and a heart full of love. Throughout his life, he wore many hats, excelling as a welder, semi-truck driver, sawmill worker, and construction professional, among various other trades. His broad skill set earned him the title of a true "Jack of all trades."

Roy was a caring, loving, and thoughtful man, known for his unfiltered honesty. He had a unique way of delivering the truth, even when it was hard to hear, a testament to his integrity and straightforward nature.

An outdoorsman, Roy loved deer hunting, beaver trapping, and spending time at the shooting range. He cherished the simple joys of life, like having a drink, cigarette, and engaging in good conversation. These moments of camaraderie and connection were among his favorite pastimes.

Above all, Roy's love for his family was unwavering. He was a devoted father to Renee Lundquist and a supportive stepfather to Rob Glancy. His grandchildren, Gavin, Hayden, Phillip (also known as Ginger), Addison, Wyatt (also known as WyBrat), Hope (affectionately known as Bug), Carigan, Caleb, and Matt, were the light of his life, and he took great pride in each of them. Roy also has a special bond with his son-in-law Michael Lundquist and previous son-in-law Tony Beseke.

Roy Facklam's legacy is one of versatility, honesty, and deep family love. He will be remembered fondly by all who knew him, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, integrity, and unwavering support for his loved ones.

Roy is preceded in death by his parents; brothers and sisters.

He will be greatly missed by his daughter, Renee Lundquist; stepson, Rob Glancy; one brother; his grandchildren; along with many friends.

No service will be held at this time.
