Roy Cook

Roy D. Cook, age 87, a resident of Shoreview, MN passed away on September 26, 2022 in Danbury, WI with his loving wife of 64 years by his side.

Roy was born on September 13, 1935 in Milltown, WI to parents James and Laura (Negler) Cook. He grew up in Luck, WI. After graduating high school, Roy started his career with State Farm Insurance and was with them for 42 years.

Roy married the love of his life, Diane Bieneman on September 13, 1958. He and Diane raised their four children in Shoreview, MN and then transitioned to small town living in Danbury, WI.

Roy enjoyed hunting, fishing and being in the great outdoors all his life. Roy was a classic all around good guy who would go the extra mile to help out a friend in need. He loved a good laugh, or a tall tale told over a cold beer. He will be forever missed.

Roy is preceded in death by his parents, James and Laura Cook; son, Richard; siblings, Bill, Colleen, Kathrine and Lee.

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Diane; children, Barbara Cook, Linda (Bruce) Brasaemle and James Cook; 8 grandchildren; many nephews and nieces; along with other family members and friends.

There will be a Celebration of Life on Thursday, October 27, 2022 from 4:00-7:00 PM at the American Legion 7731 Lake Drive, Lino Lakes, MN.

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.
