Roselyn Haus

Roselyn Maye (Babcock) Haus, age 91, passed away Saturday, June 7, 2014. Roselyn was born in Webster, WI, on July 1, 1922, a daughter of the late Herman W. and Olga C. (Fosmo) Babcock. She was a 1941 graduate of Cloverton High School. On September 8, 1941, Roselyn married Leonard D. Haus in Pine City, MN. They lived in Tampa, Florida, over 50 years, returning to this area in 2001. Leonard passed away December 26, 2012. Roselyn was a God fearing woman, and believed strongly in Christ, the Lord. She was a dedicated wife and mother, and a dearly loved grandmother, great-grandmother, and great, great-grandmother. She always made sure time was spent reading the Bible with her family, and prayers were offered every morning and evening, and before every meal. Roselyn taught herself the guitar at the age of 13 years, and she also learned to needlepoint. She greatly enjoyed tending flowers in her greenhouse in Tampa; she especially loved gladiolus flowers. Surviving are her daughter: Joan (Jack) Sweep; three grandchildren: Jack (Josie) Sweep, Jr., Troy Sweep, and Turina (Tim) Stout; seven great-grandchildren: Bryan (Keisha) Kirksey, Samae Sweep, Crystal Hann, Brandon Best, Travis (Aelisha) Stout, Jessica (Curtis) Pearson, and Amber Sweep; three great, great-grandchildren: Mesha Kirksey, Marcus Thompson, and Skyler Stout; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Olga Babcock; her husband, Leonard Haus; a grandson, Tony Sweep; and 9 siblings. The funeral service for Roselyn Maye Haus will be conducted at 12:00 pm (visitation 11:00am - 12:00pm) on Thursday, June 12, 2014, at Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home, Webster, WI. Officiating clergy is Rev. John Sahlstrom, pastor of Lake Park Alliance Church, Shell Lake. The committal service and interment will be held in Webb Lake Cemetery. A fellowship pot luck luncheon is being planned. Casket bearers are: Tim Stout, Brandon Best, Curtis Pearson, Bruce Ward, Travis Stout, Kevin Sohn, and Jessica Pearson. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are appreciated. Arrangements have been entrusted to Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Webster, WI.
