Ronald Hansen

Ronald (Ron) E. Hansen, age 71, a resident of Danbury died May 3, 2009 at his home. Ron was born on October 1, 1937 in Hendricks, Minnesota to Jens and Clara Hansen. Ron married Janet on May 14, 1960 in Winner, South Dakota. Ron was an accountant for Land O Lakes for a number of years working in Sioux Falls, SD, Spencer, IA, and in St. Paul, MN. He also owned and operated Sloan's Motel in Burlington, CO and the Pinewood Motel in Siren. He was a past member of the Moose Lodge in Spencer, IA and the Elks Lodge in Sioux Falls, SD. Ron enjoyed playing golf, fishing and bowling. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and watching his grandchildren in sports. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Curt. He is survived by his wife Janet, daughters Vickie (Mark) Reiff of Sioux Falls, SD, and Debbie (Eric) Anderson of Cottage Grove, MN, his grandchildren Matthew, Brandon, Michaela and Jessica along with other relatives and many friends. Memorial services were held Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at the Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Ward officiating. Music was provided by Kim Simon. Interment followed at the Northern Wisconsin Veteran Memorial Cemetery in Spooner where military honors were rendered by the Wisconsin State Honor Team. Arrangements were entrusted to the Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home, Webster, Wisconsin.
