Ronald W. Darwin, "Lefty" age 77, of Webster passed away Tuesday evening, February 18, 2014, after an 8 month battle with cancer. Born in St Paul, Minnesota on September 17, 1936, he was the son of the late Walter and Bea (St. Martin) Darwin. He attended public schools in St. Paul, and was a 1954 graduate of Washington High School. Lefty married Carol Armstrong on June 23, 1964 in St. Paul. A Long time residents of Voyager Village, Lefty became the groundskeeper for the golf course. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, bowling, and often emceed the weekly meat raffles. As a young adult, he excelled in hockey and softball. Lefty is preceded in death by his parents; his sons, Ronnie and Donnie; sisters, Elaine and Sharon; and brother, Thomas. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Carol; his daughter, Carmen; his sons, Ryan and Kevin; his grandchildren: Joshua, Jenessa, Jerick, Jamese; and Ashley; and his great-grandson, Harley. Also surviving are his siblings: Joe (Cheryl) Darwin, Carol Ann (Mike) Falchoner, Walter Darwin, Dwayne (Phyllis) Darwin, Everett (Cindy)Darwin, Kenny(Valerie) Darwin, Arthur (Roxanne) Darwin, and Robin Darwin-Albert; as well as many other relatives and friends. A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 2:00pm at the Voyager Village Maintenance Building where Lefty worked for more than 40 years.
