Rodney Coates

Rodney Dale Coates, age 66, resident of Webster, WI passed away on Monday, January 31, 2022 at Marshfield Medical Center in Rice Lake.
Rodney was born on June 21, 1955 in St. Paul, MN to parents Clarence and Jean (Rambow) Coates.
After graduating high school Rodney enlisted into the Army Reserves. After the Reserves Rodney worked as a machinist in Lake City, MN and he was also the Union President. After that he became an over the road truck driver up until his retirement in 2016.
Rodney married the love of his life Rita Thill in Reno, Nevada on June 21, 1992.
He enjoyed tractors, farming, giving hayrides, hunting, fishing and a long ride on his motorcycle. He was always ready to play a game of cribbage.
Rodney is preceded in death by his father, Clarence.
He will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Rita; daughters, Elizabeth (Terry Wick), Brenda (Chris Disori), Erin (Dan Haessig); mother, Jean; grandchildren; Ashley, Connor, Logan, Marissa, Nathan, Reese, Dylan, Ciarra; great grandchild, Adelyn; stepsons, Chad (Julie) Lechman, Jake (Paula) Lechman; brother, Gary (Jane); sisters, Mary and Diane; along with many other relatives and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, February 11, 2022 from 1:00 – 4:00 PM at The Front Porch Bar & Grill 100 N. Sheppard St. Kellogg, MN, with a memorial service at 1:30.
In Lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to Party for a Lifetime, Ltd http:www.facebook.com/partyforalifetimeltd. A charitable organization offering financial help to families affected by cancer.
