Robert Dale

Robert “Bob” Alan Dale, 61, of Grantsburg, WI passed away April 3, 2016. Bob was born November 20, 1954 in Grantsburg, WI to Vincent and Matilda (Johnson) Dale. Bob went to grade school and graduated from Grantsburg High School. Bob was employed by CBS Construction and was given a service award for his 20+ years of service. Bob enjoyed his job, he looked forward to going into work every day. He was loved by his co-workers and they meant a great deal to him. He was an early riser. You wouldn’t be surprised if you got an early good morning call from him. If you didn’t answer, he would call you until you got out of bed. Bob was always a generous, loving, giving, sharing kind of guy. He loved to make everyone around him happy. If you ever needed any help all you had to do was call “Uncle Bob”. Bob never missed a family event. He was very involved in his nieces and nephew’s activities and sports. He was like a grandpa to all of them. Bob enjoyed working in his yard, raising flowers, feeding the birds and his cats. He also enjoyed the last 11 years traveling across the country with his life partner Jean Greski. Bob is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by life partner, Jean Greski; sister, Linda (Dale) Carrier; brother, Larry (Deb) Dale; nieces, Shelley (Mac) Guptil, Amy Carrier, Tanya Imme; great nieces and nephews, MacKenna, Mason, Gunner and Paisley; and many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Thursday, April 7, 2016 from 5-7 pm at Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home in Grantsburg, WI. Funeral Service will be conducted Friday, April 8, 2016 at 11am (visitation from 10-11am) at Faith Lutheran Church in Grantsburg, WI with Pastor Sandy Hutchens officiating. Burial will take place at the Riverside Cemetery. Pallbearers are Kenny Luke, Joel Glover, Doyle Christian, Dean Selander, Jim Melin, and Neil Viebrock.
