Rita Jeanne (Stewart) Young, 58, Dresser, WI, left us, peacefully, on June 16, 2021 after her third and most courageous crusade against cancer.
Rita enjoyed life on the lake, canoeing, paddle boarding and bonfires, especially with her favorite young people. She loved gardening, anything arts and crafts, and cherished the annual family deer-hunting weekend.
Preceded in death by her dad, Andy Stewart, and father-in-law, Jerry Young. Survived by her husband of 34 years, Keith; mother, Nonie Stewart, of Brooklyn Park; brothers Rich (Cheryl) of the “East Coast Stewarts” and Mark (Carla) of Brooklyn Park; niece and nephew, Alexz and Andrew, also of the “East Coast Stewarts”; mother-in-law, Olga Young of St. Croix Falls; sister-in-law, Paula (Sheila) Anderson of Golden Valley; and special aunt, Barb (Bruce) Snyder and cousin, Zach Snyder (Kendra) and his children, Makenzie, Kobe & Camren all of Deer Creek, MN. Also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins near and far, and special friends, Jenny & Kathy Norson. A special, heartfelt thank you to Douglas Yee MD, Lucia Reinhardt PA-C, and the wonderful people at the University of Minnesota, Masonic Cancer Center.
A memorial service will be held at Bethesda Lutheran Church: 1947 110th Ave, Dresser, WI, on Sunday, June 20th at 3pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Masonic Cancer Center Breast Cancer Research Fund, or any cause near and dear to your heart.
