Ricky Garbow

Ricky Joe Garbow Sr. “Giiwitaagaabaw”, age 60, of Hinckley, MN, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, February 15, 2020.
Ricky was born on September 13, 1959, in Frederic, to parents, Leona (Staples) and George Garbow Sr.
Ricky was a sincerely genuine and good-hearted person known for always putting others before himself. He had a great sense of humor and liked making others laugh. He was also a sports fanatic who loved cheering on his favorite teams, The Minnesota Vikings and the Minnesota Twins. He enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing, going to various baseball games and attending family gatherings. He loved his family very much and loved spending time with them. He will be greatly missed by many.
Preceding him in death are his parents, Leona and George Garbow Sr.; sister, Linda Morgan; brother, John Garbow; brother-in-law, Mark Swanson; and daughter, Jessica Oiyotte.
Ricky is survived by his wife, Rosetta Garbow; son, Ricky Garbow Jr. (Katie Sears); daughter, Sasha Garbow; grandchildren: Miles, Dakota and Peyton; siblings: David (Pam) Staples Sr., George (Amy) Garbow Jr., Judy Swanson and JoAnne (Billy Sr.) Nail; sister-in-law, Theresa Belisle; brother-in-law, Robert Belisle Jr.; beloved dogs, Bubba and Ollie; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2020, beginning at 6:00pm at the Danbury Tribal Hall.  The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2020, at 10:00am, also at the Danbury Tribal Hall, with Lee Staples officiating. Interment will be held at Danbury Cemetery.
