Raymond Buggert

Raymond William Buggert, Jr.,72, of Grantsburg, Wisconsin passed away from Covid-19 on December 25, 2020 at Regions Hospital in St Paul, Minnesota.

Raymond was born on April 25, 1948 in Grantsburg to Raymond William Buggert, Sr. and Mildred Beatrice (Daniel) Buggert.

Raymond graduated from Grantsburg High School. After graduating from high school, he attended UW Superior and graduated with majors in geology and biology.

After graduating from college Raymond worked for the Wisconsin Department of Transportation. He worked for several years on the construction of the Alaska pipeline. For many years he was a truck driver for Metro Gravel in Hastings, Minnesota. He ran a dairy farm north of Grantsburg for many years.

Raymond loved the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking and loved animals. He liked to travel to visit family. He enjoyed volunteering at Forts Folle Avoine and the Ekdall Church. Ray suffered physically, but never complained and always had a smile for everyone.

Raymond is preceded in death by his parents and infant daughter Jodi Rae Buggert.

He is survived by his children, Pamela (Bryan) Day, William Buggert, Sean (Daun) Fox; grandchildren, Thomas Day, Timothy Day, Jordan Buggert, Avery Buggert, Keaton Fox, Finnick Fox; sister, Florence Buggert; brother, Jerrold (Deva) Buggert, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
