Ralph W. Groves, 93, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2014. He was born in St. Joseph, MO December 15,1920. After high school Ralph went on to join the U.S. Navy. After serving his country, Ralph worked many hobs, He retired from Armour and Company. Ralph was an avid hunter during his earlier years. Eventually his love for hunting made way for his love of BINGO. He and his Wife Darleen were regulars at the casinos and Siren Senior Center, where they were provided with lunch and card playing. Ralph is survived by wife, Darleen, Sister Betty Pieper, sister-in-law Lois Groves, son James (Kathy) Groves , daughter, Jan Freese; step-children , Jil (Chuck) Perreter, Greg (Holly) Highstrom, Kevin Highstrom, Todd (April) Highstrom, grandchildren, James Groves Jr., Todd Groves, Jennifer Ray, Melanie Kaye, Tiffany Koehn; step-grandchildren, Lance (Terah) Ramsdell, Richelle (Tom) Quirk, Brianne Perreten, Tiffany Highstrom, Greg (Bree) Highstrom Jr., Lindsey (Jeff) Millard, and Stephanie (Aaron) Miles. Also survived by 7 great grandchildren and 4 step-great grandchildren. Ralph was proceeded in death my father, Joseph Groves, mother Ethel Groves (Livingston), Brother Russell Groves (Lois), sister Joanna Groves and previous wife Emma Groves. The family would like to invite you to a celebration of Ralph's life. Which will be held at the Siren Senior Center, Saturday August 16, 2014 from 1:00-3:00pm. Luncheon will be served.
