Peter Polaski

Peter Dale Polaski Jr. , age 90, of Webster, passed away on December 3, 2019, at the Traditions of Frederic Assisted Living.
Peter was born on May 8, 1929, in Drummond, WI, to parents, Margueritte (Moore) and Alex Sharlow.
On February 24, 1951, Peter enlisted in the United States Air Force and served during the Korean War. He was honorably discharged in 1953.
Peter met his wife Bernadine in Superior, WI where they married and lived until 1971 when they moved to Webster, WI.
A descendent of Chief Osaugie, Peter was proud of his Native American heritage and was a St. Croix Tribal Elder. He enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting. He also loved playing slots at the casino, shaking dice, horseshoes and darts. Peter was a very social person who had his daily routes to various establishments in Webster.
Preceding him in death are his parents and adopted father, Peter Polaski Sr.; loving wife of 45 years, Bernadine; siblings: Emerald, Wyverne, Howard, Florian, Donald, Gerald and Walter.
Peter is survived by his children: Karen (Bill) Marazzo, Dale (Dana) Polaski, Joseph (Debbie) Polaski, Sue Davison, Bobbie (Kurtis) Johnson, David (Sue) Polaski, Jerry (Vicki) Polaski, Donald (Kathy) Polaski, Margiret (Mick) Lanhart and Renee Kern; grandchildren: Missy Marazzo, Gabby Marazzo (Mike Young), Nicci Nefs (Jeff Olson ), Gina Polaski, Courtney Davison Foulk (Danny Foulk ), Katie Warner (Phil Dresel), Bill Warner (Leah Duclon) and Michelle Polaski; sister, MaryEllen Vollmer; and many other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2019, at 1:00pm (visitation from 12-1pm) at the Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home in Webster with Pastor Steve Ward officiating. Full military honors will be held following the service at the funeral home. Interment will be held at a later date at the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner.
The family thanks the employees at Traditions of Frederic for the care of their dad for the past couple of years.  He always said ‘they treat me good here’.
