Paul E. Saugestad, 84, passed away Sunday, March 27, 2016 in Spooner, WI. Paul was born December 8, 1931, to Paul O. and Hattie A. (Zillmer) Saugestad. He was born and raised north of Woodville WI, and graduated from Woodville High School in 1950. He then went to Dunwoody College of Technology. Paul became a machinist working at Remmele Engineering, Inc. for 33 years. He was also a member of the East County Line Volunteer Fire Department in Maplewood, MN, for 14 years. Paul married the former Elizabeth Diller. They lived in Maplewood, MN, until they retired to Voyager Village. Paul is preceded in death by first wife, Joycelyn; his parents, Paul and Hattie; in-laws, Charles and Jane Diller; sister and brother-in-law, Maxine and Malcolm Gunderson; and brother in-law, Leslie Rademaker. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Elizabeth; sister, Shirley Rademaker; nephew, Robert Rademaker; nieces: Jodi, Jill and Jessica; brother-in-law and sister in-law, Leigh and Nancy Diller; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Barbara and Fred Gorka. The funeral service for Paul Saugestad will be conducted at 11:00 am (visitation 10:00 to 11:00 am), Thursday, March 31, 2016, at Grace United Methodist Church, Webster, WI, with Pastor Eddie Crise officiating. The interment will be held at 3:00 pm, Thursday, in Sunset Memorial Cemetery, Woodville, WI. Pallbearers are: Allen Rand, Timothy King, Randy Klink, Robert Rademaker, Randy Olson, and Fred Gorka.
