Patricia Solomonson (Bloemers) (Gable), age 87, of Siren, WI, formally of South St. Paul, MN, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family at her side on April 8, 2017. Pat never gave up during the battle with Parkinson’s disease. She was born April 15, 1929 in Minneapolis, MN. Survived by loving husband, Rudolf Solomonson; sister, Mickey (Bob) Backlund of Wayzata, MN, her children, Scott (Nita) Bloemers of Havelock, NC, Mary (Bloemers) Olson of South St. Paul, MN, Mark (Diedre) Bloemers of Hudson, WI; grandchildren: Jennifer (Antonio) Perez, Derk (Allie) Bloemers, Jessica (Eugenio) Cotto, Ashley (Josh) Reuvers, Jonnie (Shane) Bloemers, Noah Royer; and 13 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by first husband, Jay Bloemers; sons, Steven Bloemers, and John Bloemers. She was a member of the Aqua Follies synchronized swim team, avid writer for the Sun Newspaper, pioneer in legislation for Mental Health advocacy, passionate about cooking, snow skiing and spending time with her family and friends. Dunham Lake in Siren, WI became her place of retirement and serenity, where she was able to live until her final breath. Her gratitude to Regional Hospice Service for their care is unwavering. Pat was humble, simple and faithful, living her life as a child of Christ. A celebration of her life will be held on her birthday, Saturday April 15, 2017 at United Methodist Church in Siren, WI. Visitation begins at 10:15am. Service at 11:00am, followed by a luncheon. Arrangements were entrusted to Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home in Webster.
