Patricia (nee Theroux) D’Jock, 81, of Siren, passed away peacefully at her home on August 21, 2014. Her husband Louie and children were at her side. Pat was born in St. Paul, Nov. 25, 1932, to Archie and Dorothy Theroux. She was the eldest of four children. When she was a baby her family moved to Minneapolis. She attended St. Lawrence Catholic elementary school and Marshall high school. While in high school, and thereafter, she worked for Northwestern Bell Telephone Co. as a telephone operator until she moved to Siren. Pat married Louis D’Jock on September 17, 1955 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, in Minneapolis. They moved to Siren in 1956 where they raised their family of eight children. She always said that Siren was the best place to raise a family. In her spare time she played cards. She loved to play cards! (solitaire, cribbage, 500, poker, and bridge). She joined many bridge clubs. She was a member of the American Legion and the VFW Auxiliaries. She was actively involved with the American Cancer Society in Burnett County. She was a Den mother for the Cub Scouts. She was a faithful member of St. Dominic’s Ladies Guild, served many lunches for weddings and funerals and was a CCD teacher for many years. She was a great Viking fan, one out of ten isn’t bad! Pat was preceded in death by two of her children, her daughter, Susan and her son, Steven, her parents, and her brother, Archie Jr. She is survived by her husband, Louie, her children, Tim, David (Sharon), Daniel, Sandra, Sally, Tony, and daughter-in-law (Steven) Anne Dziok, eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, her sisters, Shirley and Sharon, and her aunt, Donna Morris and many nephews and nieces. Visitation on Wednesday Aug. 27, 5-7:30 PM followed by prayer service at Swedberg-Taylor in Siren. Mass of Christian burial at St. Dominic’s Catholic Church in Frederic on Thursday, Aug 28 at 11: 00 AM. (visitation 10-11 AM) with Father Dennis Mullen as celebrant. Interment will follow at Siren Lakeview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren Nathan D’Jock, Nicole D’Jock, Jethro D’Jock, Doug D’Jock, Derek D’Jock, John D’Jock, Griffin Dziok and Chloe Dziok.
