Norma Durand

Norma Kay Durand, age 70, of Webster (town of Scott), passed away Thursday evening, August 21, 2014. She was born in Siren, WI, on January 27, 1944, a daughter of Howard E. and Hazel “Annie” (Sivert) Fuller. She attended local public schools and graduated from Webster High School in January 1962. Norma Kay married Donald J. Durand on February 3, 1962, at Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Catholic Church, Crescent Lake. They co-owned and operated their own dairy farm for many years. Norma Kay was a faithful member of the church. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She took great pleasure cooking and baking for the holidays and other family gatherings, as well as relaxing with her family at Deer Lake Resort that was owned by her father. She also enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, gardening, and going to the casino. Surviving are her husband, Donald; her mother, Annie Fuller; seven children: Dana (Connie) Durand, Tammy (Andy) Atkinson, Braden Howard Durand, Trevor Durand, Roxanne “Bobbie” Lundsten, Melissa Michniewicz, and Nikki Durand; nine grandchildren: Bobbie Jo Durand, Greg Atkinson, Eric Atkinson, Aaron Lundsten, Megan Lundsten, Emily Besta, Mariah Michniewicz, Mckenzie Michniewicz, and Allen Michniewicz; and two great-grandchildren: Selene Atkinson and Sienna Atkinson. Norma Kay is also survived by a sister, Carolyn Ross; sisters-in-law, Roseann Fuller and Deloris Durand; and brothers-in-law: Harry (Karla) Durand, Bernie (Marlys) Durand, and Tony (Karen) Durand. She is preceded in death by her father, Howard Fuller; a brother, Blake Fuller; and a sister-in-law, Margie Block. Mass of Christian Burial for Norma Kay Durand will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 27, 2014, at 11:00 am (visitation 9:00 to 11:00 am), at Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Catholic Church, 28460 County Rd H (just north of County Rd A), Crescent Lake, with Father Michael Tupa officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted with Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home, Webster, WI. Online condolences may be expressed at www.swedberg-taylor.com.
