Norbert Carl Behringer , 87, of Siren, WI passed away on September 13, 2017. Norb was born in Marshfield, WI to Norman and Leona Behringer and was raised on a farm in the rolling hills of Owen, WI. He served four years in the United States Navy on the USS Manatee during the Korean War. He proudly recalled his years of service to our country and shared many stories of the shenanigans they got into. Once out of the service, he married Dorothy Mae Olson from Sarles, North Dakota. They raised two daughters. They resided in Milwaukee, WI; St. Paul, MN; St. Louis Park, MN; North Branch, MN; Cameron, WI; and Siren, WI. Loving husband to Dorothy, amazing father to Deanna and Sandy (Ron), wonderful grandfather to Joshua and Trisha (David), and great-grandfather to Timothy, Amelia, and Johnathan. He is further survived by a sister, Wilma (Harold “Sunny”) Heck. Preceding Norb in death are his parents; and a brother, Veryln. A talented woodworker who continued to travel to art shows until recently. His woodwork is loved by so many people, that they returned year after year to see more of his work, especially his wooden utensils. Cancer whittled away at him the last four years. But he will always be remembered for his hilarious sense of humor, his huge smile, infectious laugh and deep love and support of his family.
