Nora B. Schmidt, beloved Ggma, grandmother, mother, sister, and friend, has been reunited with those loved ones whom are bless now to have her with them. Nora passed on November 8, 2008 in the early hours at her home in Chisago City. She was born in Burnett County, near Hertel, Wisconsin, as Nora Belle Hotchkiss on July 5, 1924. She was a proud graduate of Spooner High School, class of 1942. She shortly after moved to Washington state where she was employed as a telephone switchboard operator. While there she married and had two children. She moved to Minnesota and began working at West Publishing as a proof-reader. She retired after 35 years of service culminating her career as a department supervisor. After moving to Minnesota she remarried to Alfred Schmidt and moved to Chisago City, where they made their home on Big Green Lake. After her retirement she enjoyed watching the wildlife, nurturing her flowers, viewing the lake and entertaining family who surrounded her at her home where she passed peacefully. May she rejoice in the accomplishments of those left behind until we are all reunited.
