Michael John Nelson III, 29, of Siren, WI passed away unexpectedly on January 3, 2018. Mikey was born to Ruby and Michael Jr. on August 8, 1988 in Sandstone, MN. He loved to make music on his guitar and drums. He also loved hunting, fishing, and camping. He wanted to go to school to create video games, but his pride and joy was solely in his son. He is survived by his beloved son Jamisen of Grantsburg, WI; mother Ruby (Mark) Mora of Siren, WI; father Michael (Elizabeth) Nelson Jr. of Swea City, Iowa; brother Alexander of Siren, WI; sister Samantha of Inver Grove Heights, MN; grandmother Pearl of Hinckley, MN and grandfather Michael Sr. of Swea City, Iowa; nephews Dakota and Ryder; uncles: David St. John Sr., Justin St. John, Myron Benjamin Jr., Clinton Sutton Jr., Lester Sutton, Marty Nelson, Timothy Nelson, Tony Nelson, Patrick Nelson; aunts Tyra Benjamin, Emily Sutton, Cheryl Sutton, Lucille Sutton, Shelly Nelson, and Krista Nelson and many cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his great-grandmother Margaret; grandfather Clinton Sr.; uncle Dylan, and grandmother Melody. Services were held January 6, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at Aazhoomog Community Center in Lake Lena, MN with Clifford "Skip" Churchill officiating. Pallbearers were David St. John Sr., Alex Litz, Mike Mora, Ed St. John, Joe McGeshick, and Clinton Sutton Jr. Honorary pallbearers were Wallace St. John and Mark Mora. Arrangements are entrusted to Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home in Webster, WI.
