Michael Mccann

Michael “Mac” James McCann, age 85, a resident of Grantsburg, WI, passed away on November 3, 2023 at the Burnett Medical Continuing Care Center.

Mac was born on June 1, 1938 in Siren, WI. to parents Fred and Edna (Jewell) McCann. After graduating from high school Mac enlisted in the United States Army where he served for 20 years.

Mac married the love of his life JoAnne on June 6, 2003.

After the Army, Mac worked at Parker for over 20 years. He was an active member of the American Legion and VFW in Siren. He loved to go bowling, doing crossword puzzles and playing games on the computer, but most of all he loved playing and spending time with his granddaughter, Faith.

Mac is preceded in death by his parents; son, Glen; brothers, William, Fred, David and Donald; sister, Geraldine; brothers-in-law, Larry Hackett and Richard Langel.

He is survived by his loving wife, JoAnne, children, Cheryle (Victor) Chavez, Leta (Tim) McIntyre, Wanda Hinrichs (Jeremy), Judy (Dan) Milligan, Phillip (Katie) Bruzek, Misty Bruzek and Adam Bruzek; grandchildren, Angeline and Faith; other grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters, Peggy Hackett and Patricia Langel; along with other relatives and friends.

A memorial service for Mac will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2023 from 2-4 pm at The Foxhole - American Legion Post 185 in Grantsburg, WI. with Military Honors at 3pm.
