Michael Lilly

The son of a navy man, he traveled the world as a young man. He finally settled in Markville, MN where he attended Sandstone High School and met the love of his life, Brenda, they married on September 2, 1967. With that union he was blessed with an Indian name, Mudga-geiieizens (mean little boy). In August of 1968 they had their first child, a beautiful daughter, Michelle. In October of 1972 they welcomed their baby boy, Michael.

Mike worked most his life as a telephone (splicer) starting at unicielf then transferred to Northwestern Bell. He would go on to celebrate 40+ years of service.

He enjoyed time with his family most of all. He loved going to pow-wows, sharing stories with friends, and watching his daughter and grandkids dance.

Michael was preceded in death by his father, Glendon Lilly; mother, Clara Lilly; and his son, Michael H. Lilly.

Michael is survived by his wife of 52 years, Brenda; his daughter, Michelle (Neil); Granddaughter, Nikki; grandson, Travis; two sisters-in-law, one brother-in-law, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends he made over his 71 years of life. He will be dearly missed.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 29, 2021 at 12:00 PM (Visitation 10:00-12:00) at Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home, Webster, Wisconsin. Interment will follow at Markville Cemetery in Markville, Minnesota.
