Maurice Mcallister

Maurice F. McAllister, age 92, a resident of Webster died November 4, 2010 at his home. Maurice was born on June 29, 1918 in Northwood, North Dakota. Maurice grew up in Northwoods and Niagra, North Dakota. He married June on January 10, 1940 in Osage, Iowa. They later made their home in St. Paul, Minnesota where Maurice worked as Tool and Dye Maker. In 1980, Maurice retired and they moved to Webster. Maurice enjoyed snowmobiling, fishing, hunting, travelling, listening to good music and dancing. Maurice was preceded in death by his wife June; his daughter Sandra; his parents Earl and Frances Fox; and brother Evertt. He is survived by his daughter Judy (Bill)Nottingham; son Jim (Ramona) McAllister; sister-in-law Donna (Avery) Swope; 19 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren. Memorial services were held Thursday, November 11, 2010 at Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Ward officiating. Music was provided by his granddaughter, Melissa Kneebone. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
