Maude Dahlberg

Maude Carol Dahlberg, age 82 of Grantsburg, Wisconsin went home to be with her Lord April 17, 2015. Maude was born in St. Paul, Minnesota to Burt and Dora Veach on January 12, 1933. She married Mark Dahlberg in St. Paul, Minnesota on June 16, 1956. She had been a nurse at Bethesda Hospital in St. Paul, and was a Librarian at the Grantsburg Library for over 20 years. Maude loved spending time with family and friends. She was a great cook, host, enjoyed gardening and travel. Mark and Maude traveled to Egypt and Israel, toured Europe, and many areas of the U.S. They also cruised to Alaska, the Caribbean, and the Panama Canal. Maude was an active church member and enjoyed being involved with the Republican Party, supporting many political candidates and hosting fundraising events. Maude was a devoted Christian wife, mom, grandma and a recent great-grandma. She took great pride in caring for her husband, children, and her cat. She was loved deeply and we will miss her welcoming smile and warm personality. Maude is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her loving husband, Mark; children; David (Julie) Dahlberg, Steven (Robert L. Mackean) Dahlberg, Lynn (Keith) Anderson, Laura Dahlberg; grandchildren; Andrew (Rosann) Dahlberg, Kathryn ( fiancé Jason Spadanuta-Castello)Dahlberg, Derek Anderson, Nicole Anderson, and Mitchell Anderson; and great grandchild, Brianna Dahlberg. Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at Swedberg-Taylor funeral Home Grantsburg, Wisconsin from 5-8pm. Funeral service will be conducted at Faith Lutheran Church, Grantsburg, Wisconsin on Thursday, April 23, 2015 at 11am (visitation from 10-11am) with Pastor Emory Johnson officiating. Pallbearers are Andy Dahlberg, Tim Landro, Derek Anderson, Jay Landro, Mitchell Anderson, and Dana Dahlberg, burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Grantsburg, Wisconsin.
