Matthew Matrious

Matthew Clyde Matrious  “Ge Zhii Yaash”, age 30, of Danbury, passed away unexpectedly on September 15, 2019. Matt was born on April 1, 1989 to parents, Nancy Matrious and Laurence “Tony” Bearhart. He was a true jokester who could get a laugh out of just about anyone. He liked to play basketball with his cousins, play cards and was known for showing off his funky – fancy attire. Above all else, Matt loved being around his family and spending time with his daughter.
Preceding Matt in death are his parents.
He is survived by his daughter, Destiny Matrious; siblings: Deb Matrious, Claude Matrious (Greg), Misty Matrious, Nikki Bearhart, Toni Bearhart, Larry Sears, Blake Sears and Vicki; favorite niece, Katrina Matrious; favorite nephew, Jordan “Radio” Matrious; Aunts: Rose Holter, Darlene Matrious and Susan Matrious; uncle, Francis Matrious; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held beginning at 6:00pm on Wednesday, September 18, 2019, at the Danbury Tribal Hall. The Funeral Service will be begin at 10:00am on Thursday, September 19, 2019, also at the Danbury Tribal Hall with Lee Staples officiating. Interment will follow the service at Danbury Cemetery.
Pallbearers are: Kawliga Tucker, Jeremy Thayer, Greg Garbow, Karl Matrious Sr., Karl Matrious Jr., and Kurt Matrious. Honorary Pallbearers are: Jordan Matrious, Katrina Matrious Staples, Maryjane Tucker, Rusty Matrious, Danielle Rodriguez, Anthony Thayer and Justin Matrious.
