Matthew Larson, known for his enthusiasm for life, walk with the lord and love of nature and family, has passed away in an unfortunate event on February 18, 2010. Matthew was born on April 26, 1996 in Minocqua, Wisconsin to Shane and Tracy Larson. Matthew loved the lord and reminded others often of the importance of a relationship with God. He loved to fish and hunt with anyone who would go with him. He went hunting and fishing every chance he got. He was loved by many and we will miss him. He is walking with God on streets of gold. As one of his friends said "He will spend his 14th Birthday with Jesus". Matthew is survived by his sister Darian Larson, mother Tracy and step-father John Andrewson, father Shane and step-mother Marie Larson, step-sister Kelly (Chris)Paquette and step-brother Andrew Larson; niece Lauren Paquette; his grandparents; Mike (Cathy) Schmitt, Carla Larson (Karl Nylund), Lois Andrewson, his great grandmother's Alberta Monell and Lorraine Schmitt; aunts and uncles Tonya Bloom, Jessica Schmitt (Paul Kufahl), Jeremy Schmitt, Renee (Troy) Suhm, Linda (Duane) Hoefs, Sandra (Rick)Watkins, Bob (Cecila) Andrewson, Paul Andrewson and Linda Gropengiser, along with multiple great-aunts, great uncles, many cousins, his church family and many friends. Memorial services for Matthew will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Rhinelander, Wisconsin at 6:30pm on Thursday, February 25, 2010 with Pastor Norm Peterson officiating. A visitation will be from 4:30pm-6:30pm at the church. A Celebration of Matthew's Life will also be held at Wood River Christian Fellowship in Grantsburg, Wisconsin on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at 1:00pm with Pastor Dan Slaikeu and Pastor Terry Sellers officiating. A visitation will be prior to the service from 11:00AM-1:00PM. Music will be provided by Jackie Maslow and Joe Lener. Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Kufahl, Jeremy Schmitt, Bob Andrewson, Paul Andrewson, Soren Peterson, Bjorn Peterson, Mike Hoefs, and Aaron Hoefs.
