Mary Schmidt

Mary Ann (Wethern) Schmidt, age 83, passed away Thursday, June 19, 2014 surrounded by all of her family. Mary Ann was born June 22, 1930 in Siren Township, Wisconsin to Charles and Myrtle (Lind) Wethern. She married Francis Schmidt on December 30, 1947 in Pine City, Minnesota. To this union four children were born. Mary Ann was a waitress and bartender for over 60 years and owned/operated the Shamrock Bar for over 20 years. She also enjoyed selling Avon, playing pool, socializing and to travel. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Francis; son Gary; brothers Charles Wethern, and Merlin Lind. Mary Ann was survived by her children; Linda (Ronald) Radke, Diann (Cindy) Schmidt, and Thomas (Connie) Schmidt; her grandchildren; Dione, Chris, Jody,Jessica and Crystal and 11 great grandchildren; along with her brothers Mitch (Judy) Larson and Johnny Larson; daughter-in-law Diane; along with other relatives and many dear friends. Funeral services will be held at Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home in Webster on Monday, June 23, 2014 at 4PM (visitation from 2-4PM) with Pastor Steve Ward officiating. Interment will follow at the Siren Lakeview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mark Larson, Charles (Andy) Wethern, Chris Schmidt, Tristan Schmidt, Cole Haseman and Jake Haseman.
