Mary A. Dalsveen, age 87, of Frederic, passed away on Friday, May 13, 2016 at the Comforts of Home Assisted Living in Frederic, WI. Mary was born on January 9, 1929 in Minneapolis, MN to parents Michael and Apolonia (Kosa) Mihna. Mary was united in marriage to Edward “Ed” Dalsveen on January 18, 1947 in Solon Springs, WI. Mary worked as a CNA for many years. She started her career in Superior, WI. After the family moved to the Siren area, Mary was also employed at the Frederic Hospital and then later transferred to the Grantsburg Hospital. Mary was a longtime member of the Dairyland Homemakers. She was also a member of Sweet Adeline’s and the Siren Bowling League. Mary loved going for walks and participating in the Freedom Five Walk in Siren, WI. She also enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers, shopping, flea markets, car rides and her trips to Arizona. Preceding Mary in death are her parents; husband, Ed Dalsveen; 3 brothers; and a great-grandson, Zachary. Mary is survived by her children, Barb Hughes, Gary Dalsveen, Maryann White, Michael Dalsveen and Tony Dalsveen; grandchildren, Debra, Annette, Kris, Angie, Troy, Terri, Skeeter, Rick, John, Michelle and Nicole; 18 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Visitation to be held on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 from 4:00pm – 7:00pm with Prayer Service starting at 6:30pm at the Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home in Webster, WI. Mass of Christian Burial to be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at 11:00am at the St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in Webster, WI. Interment will be held at Riverhill Cemetery in Dairyland Township, WI. Pallbearers are John Dalsveen, Troy Dalsveen, Keith “Skeeter” White, Rick White, Terri Fennell and Debra Wells. Honorary Pallbearers are Annette Wilman, Kris Kilgard, Angie Sampson, Michelle Dalsveen and Nicole Dalsveen. Arrangements were entrusted to Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home in Webster, WI.
