Marvin L. DuFresne, age 76, of Webster, passed away Monday morning, April 7, 2014. He was born in Minneapolis, MN, on August 17, 1937, a son of the late Earl and Louise DuFresne. Marvin married Audrey N. Notaro on November 14, 1987, in Minneapolis. He worked 37 years for Sears, Roebuck & Company retiring in 1991. Surviving are his wife, Audrey; two daughters: Sherri (Paul) Stewart and Lori (Craig) Jonell; two granddaughters: Natalie Stewart and Kailee Jonell; a brother, Donald (Lesley) DuFresne; brother-in-law, Ed Smith; sister-in-law, Myrtis DuFresne; and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by Audrey’s sister, Joyce (Donald) Boersma; and her brother-in-law, Milton Hanson. Besides his parents, Marvin was preceded in death by a brother, Edward DuFresne; a sister, Louise “Dolly” Smith; and a sister-in-law, Patricia Hanson. Visitation of family and friends will be held at Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home on Sunday, April 13, 2014 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Monday, April 14 th , (visitation 10:00 - 11:00 am) at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Webster, with Rev. Michael Tupa officiating. Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery, Webster. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Regional Hospice, 819 Ash St., Spooner, WI 54801.
