Marlene Halonie

Marlene L. Halonie, age 70, of Webster, passed away on January 24, 2017 at the Maple Ridge Care Center in Spooner. Marlene was born on May 10, 1946 in Frederic, to parents Mildred (Peck) and Lyle Doriott, the second eldest of seven children. She attended the Orange School in Meenon Township. In May of 1966, Marlene was united in marriage to Dale Halonie in Pine City, MN. Together they raised their three children in the Webster area. Marlene liked reading, gardening, canning and helping Dale at the saw mill. She loved to be outdoors and enjoyed going camping. She also loved her many animals that she raised over the years. Preceding Marlene in death are her parents. Marlene is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Dale; children: Della (Derek) Thalin, Dean (Heather) Halonie and Rachel Halonie (Robert Engstrom); 2 grandchildren, Kenny Pardun and Hayden Halonie; siblings: Delroy (Donna) Doriott, Teresa (John) McCain, Jeanette (Walter) Hughes, Dennis Doriott, Melanie (Bradley) Lehrke and Julie Shilts; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The Memorial Service for Marlene will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 12:00pm (visitation from 11:00am – 12:00pm) at the Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home in SIREN with Pastor Steve Ward officiating. Burial will be held in the Spring at the Oakland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family. Arrangements were entrusted to Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home in Webster.
