Marian Brown

Marian F. Brown , age 91, of Grantsburg, passed away on January 4, 2017 at the Burnett Medical Continuing Care Center. Marian was born on April 20, 1926 in Danbury, WI to parents, Mildred (Cutler) and Cecil Bailey. She was a Webster High Graduate. On November 7, 1946, Marian was united in marriage to Bernard Brown. They raised four children together. Marian was employed by Honeywell for 18 years. She enjoyed puzzles, making rag rugs, loved playing games, fishing, gardening and spending time with her family. Preceding Marian in death are her parents; loving husband, Bernard; granddaughter, Charlette; 6 brothers: David Bailey, Gene Bailey, Keith Bailey, James Bailey, Robert Bailey and Phillip Bailey; 2 sisters, Norma Carmon and Murle Stewart. Marian is survived by her children: Gloria (James) Carrier, Robert Brown, Sandra Brown, Krystal (Steve) Nestrud; 9 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; siblings: Margel Anderson, Paul Bailey, Marie Allen, Eileen Carlson; sister-in-law, Helen Bailey; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The visitation will be held on Friday, January 12, 2018 from 3-7:00pm at the Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home in Grantsburg, WI. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 11:00am (visitation from 10-11:00am) at the First Baptist Church in Falun, WI with Pastor Mike Kleven officiating. A fellowship luncheon will follow the service. Interment will be held at a later date in the spring. Pallbearers are: Eric Hestness, David Pullis, Johnathon Pullis, Daniel Pullis, Ritchie Gordon, Jerry Rand and Jason Gilbert.
