Margaret Olson

Margaret Helen Olson was born July 19, 1921 to Ole and Olga Olson of Grantsburg, Wisconsin. She passed away March 26, 2015. Margaret was baptized August 21, 1921 and confirmed January 10, 1937 at the English Lutheran Church of Grantsburg, now Faith Lutheran Church. Margaret attended the Grantsburg Schools, graduating with the class of 1939. She went on to attend and later graduate from the American Business College in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Margaret was employed at The First Bank of Grantsburg when she was enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1943. After discharge in 1945 Margaret was employed for 50 years at a law firm, where she was a legal secretary in Santa Barbara, CA. In 2002, Margaret returned to Wisconsin to be closer to family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ole and Olga Olson; brother and sister-in-law, Thomas and Wilma Olson; sister and brother in-law, Louise and Jack Kimbel; niece, Linda; and nephew, David Olson. Margaret is survived by her brother and sister in-law, Eugene and Patricia Olson; nephews, Jim, John, Joe and Michael Kimbel, and Dan Olson; nieces, Marsha Olson, Brenda Dunbar and Laura Coyour. Graveside service will be held Monday, March 30, 2015 at 4 pm at the Riverside Cemetery in Grantsburg with Pastor Myron Carlson and Pastor Sandy Hutchens officiating followed by Military Honors.
