Luella Luedtke

Luella Marie Luedtke of Grantsburg, Wisconsin, passed away on June 30, 2013 at the age of 75 in St. Paul, Minnesota. She was born on October 28, 1937 to Albin and Rose (Haumant) Johnson. Luella grew up in the Trade Lake, Wisconsin, area with 11 siblings. On September, 16, 1961 she married Orland Luedtke. Her greatest accomplishment and what brought her most joy was her 7 children. She was a true Homemaker who enjoyed cooking, baking, quilting, and washing clothes. Luella was an active member of the CCW Club at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Grantsburg and enjoyed participating in Catholic Charities. Luella is preceded in death by her parents Albin and Rose (Haumant) Johnson; her daughter Valentina; siblings baby Eleraine, Gladys, Marvin, Erwin, Vernon, Alrose, Rodney, and Elerene. She will be sadly missed by her husband of 51 years; Orland, her children Brett (Lisa), Tamara (Bruce) Chapman, Brenda (Luke) Java, Bart (Debbie), Brad (Carmen), and Brent (Melanie); her 15 grandchildren, James Hinrichs, Brian (Holly) Hinrichs, Joshua (Maren) Luedtke, Daniel Chapman, Jessica (Nick) Hackworthy, Sarah Chapman, Timothy Luedtke, Alisha Java, Melissa Chapman, Kayla Java, Bert Luedtke, Brittany Luedtke, Kajsa Luedtke, Claira Luedtke, Timothy Luedtke, Becca Luedtke, and Kayla Java; 4 great grandchildren plus one expectant; two sisters Laverna Rundblade and Margie Ryan; brother Donald (Sybil) Johnson and son-in-law Thomas Hinrichs. Her generosity, entertaining sense of humor, and quick wit will never be forgotten. Peace be thine. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at 11:00AM (visitation 1 hour prior) at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Grantsburg with Father Dave Lusson as Celebrant. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Grantsburg. Pallbearers will be James Hinrichs, Daniel Chapman, Brian Hinrichs, Timothy Luedtke, Joshua Luedtke and Bert Luedtke. Arrangements were entrusted to Swedberg-Taylor Family Funeral Home, Grantsburg Chapel.
