Loren Soderberg

Loren R. Soderberg, age 76, passed away on May 2, 2024 in the presence of his family, in Hudson, WI. He was born in Frederic, WI to William and Lucille Soderberg on April 16, 1948.

Loren served in the Navy during the Vietnam war. He was a machinist, a gunsmith, a mechanic, a hunter, a fisherman, and he was funny. After retiring, he spent most of his time making toys for his grandchildren, who he loved dearly.

Loren was a wonderful father and grandfather who never missed a birthday. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and friends, grilling burgers, having a beer, and sitting outside.

Loren was preceded in death by his mother, Lucille; father, William; sister, Christine; sister, Shirley; and brother, Robert.

He is survived by his son, Jamie (Maria) Soderberg, and daughter, Karna (Mike) Boynton; three grandchildren, Melissa, Harlan, and Merlin; sisters, Faye (Mark) Gustafson, Laurie (Frank) Mendez, Sharon (Gary) Suffron and Ginny (Brian) Blomberg; and brother, Wendell Soderberg and former wife, Betty (Gustafson) Finn.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at 2:00 PM (visitation from 1-2 PM) at Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home, 303 E State Road 70, Grantsburg WI., with Pastor John Addison officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the family.
