Lloyd S. Freberg, age 88, of Siren, WI passed away on December 23, 2012 at his home. Lloyd was born on August 24, 1924 to Arthur and Alma Freberg in St. Paul, MN. After High School, he joined the US Army where he served in the South Pacific as head of radar control. Lloyd was honorable discharged after 3 years of service. Following the military, he attended University of Minnesota Rasmussen College. On July 3, 1948, Lloyd was united in marriage to Frieda Schindeldecker in Northwood, Iowa. Lloyd worked at Hamm’s Brewery for 38 years before retiring and moving to the Siren area. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, planting trees and watching and enjoying nature. Lloyd is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Gene Freberg and sister, Florence Toenjes. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Frieda, children: Ron (Marilyn) Freberg, JoAnne (Bob) LeMonds and Shirley Arneson, 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and brothers: Clifford Freberg and Chuck (Bev) Freberg. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 28, 2012 at 11:00 am at Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home, Siren, WI with Pastor Myron Carlson officiating. Interment will be at Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Spooner, WI. Pallbearers are Grant Arneson, Dale LeMonds, Tom Schindeldecker, Bob LeMonds, Jeff LeMonds, Merlin Schindeldecker and Sam Castillo Freberg.
