Linda Diane Hornung, age 74, a resident of Siren, WI., passed away on January 27, 2024, at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale, MN. Linda was born on January 22, 1950, in Montevideo, MN to parents Oliver and Amanda (Helgeson) Lanning.
Linda was 3 years old when her mother died. Linda was raised by her father until she joined Sonja and Sharon in Maryland. She gave birth to her beloved son Troy, who was Linda’s pride and joy. She then moved to Wisconsin in 1973 to be near her sister Sonja. Linda worked as bartender in several bars in Siren and Frederic where Linda met and married the love of her life, George Hornung. They were married for 40 years. Linda enjoyed various crafting hobbies. Linda was very kind and giving to her family and friends. Linda will be very missed by many.
Linda is preceded in death by her loving husband, George; parents; sister, Carole Taylor and nephew, Davin Tyler.
She is survived by her beloved son, Troy Lanning; granddaughter, Bailey Walter; sisters, Sonja Tyler and Sharon (Terry) Bartlett; nephew, Jeffrey Tyler; along with many friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the Spring 2024.
