Lillian T. “Lilly” Morse , age 97, of Siren, WI, departed her earthly home and entered the gates of heaven on Thursday, August 10, 2017. Lilly was born on May 3, 1920 in Ortonville, MN, the oldest daughter of Victor R. and Ida M. (Maslow) Carlson. Lilly married Luverne C. Morse on June 30, 1938. To this union, 3 children were born, Marlene (Tony) Bachim, Clifton L. (Wilma) Morse and Elton S. (Colette) Morse. Lilly’s life was her family and friends. She was a devoted homemaker when the children were young. Later, she assisted her husband with his lumber business. Her interests included crocheting, embroidery work, puzzles and crafts. She was always ready to challenge family and friends to a variety of games. In addition to her 3 children, Lilly is survived by her grandchildren: Cynthia (Neil) Madsen, Sandra (Thomas) Waldron, Kristina Morse, Andrea (Steve) Adie, Dale (Maria) Bachim, Jodi (Matthew) Bachim-Bastrom and McKenzie Morse; and 12 great-grandchildren; she is further survived by like-a-daughter, Mary Maslow; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. Lilly is preceded in death by her husband; parents; 3 brothers, Leo, Victor and Franklin; and 2 sisters, Florence and Lucille; A heartfelt thank you to family and friends who were so willing to help in a variety of kind and thoughtful ways. Your love and concern added much joy to Lilly’s life. Thank you to Dr. Novick, nurses and staff at Burnett Medical Center in Grantsburg. You compassion and care are deeply appreciated. A time of gathering will be held on Sunday, August 13, 2017 from 3:00pm – 4:00pm at the Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home in Siren, WI.
