Leonard David Haus, 93, of Webb Lake passed away December 26, 2012 at Benedictine Living Community in Spooner, Wisconsin. Leonard was born January 12, 1919 in Webb Lake to parents Nicholas and Bertha Haus. He joined the Navy and fought for his country in WWII. September 8, 1941 Leonard married Roselyn Babcock in Pine City, Minnesota. Together they had one daughter, Joan. Leonard was a carpenter, loved to fish, hunt, and work with his hands. He was also a school bus driver for the Markville/Sandstone area. Leonard was also a painter and a “Jack of all trades.” He is preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Tony Sweep; and 7 siblings. He is survived by his wife, Roselyn; daughter, Joan (Jack) Sweep; grandchildren, Jack Jr. (Josie) Sweep, Troy Sweep, and Turina (Timothy) Stout; great-grandchildren, Bryan, Jessica, Travis, Samae, Amber, and Brandon; great-great-grandchildren, Mesha, and Marcus; sister, Matilda; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at 1:00PM (visitation 12-1 PM) at Swedberg-Taylor Family Funeral Home in Webster with Pastor John Sahlstrom officiating. Interment will follow at the Webb Lake Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bruce Ward, Bryan Kirksey, Travis Stout, Brandon Best, Curtis Pearson, and Steven LeHouillier.
