Leon Berg

Leon Donald Berg of Markville, Minnesota, died June 16, 2013 at the age of 70 years. Leon was born January 2nd, 1943 in Belle River, Minnesota to Anna (Fraisl) and Arnold Berg. He married Pamella Hedine on April 4, 1964 in Osakis, Minnesota and to this union 2 children were born. Leon worked for Twin Cities Meats and retired from US Foods. He was a volunteer fireman for the Markville and Duxbury department. Ever the outdoorsman, Leon was often found crafting with wood or cutting and splitting wood. He enjoyed his tractors and deer hunting, fishing and camping. Leon is preceded in death by his parents; Anna and Arnold, brothers; Robert and Darrell and his sisters; Caroline and Magdeline. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 49 years, Pamella, his children; Kyara (Michael) Thompson and Leon Daniel (Ann) Berg. His grandchildren; Derek, Dustin, Torrance, and Maisie. His Sisters; Evangeline (Keith) Curtis and Elaine Grinstead and his brother Dennis Berg along with many nieces and nephews . A memorial service will be held Friday, June 28, 2013 at Zion Lutheran Church in Markville, Minnesota at 11:00 AM (visitation 10:00-11:00) with Pastor Tim Faust officiating.
