Laura Ethel Bjorklund, age 89, a resident of Grantsburg passed away on December 12, 2020 at the Burnett Medical Continuing Care Center.
Laura was born on November 22, 1931 in Alpha, Wisconsin to Enoch and Amanda Wistrom.
Laura married the love of her life, Maurice Bjorklund on September 19, 1959 in Siren, Wisconsin.
Laura enjoyed gardening, sewing, baking, and cooking for her family and friends. She also liked taking long walks. Laura was part of the Lutheran Church Women and taught Sunday school. Laura also worked as a cook for the Grantsburg School District for many years.
Laura was preceded in death by her loving husband; Maurice, parents; Enoch and Amanda, brothers; Emmons, Fred, Bert, Russel, Ted, Donnie, and sister; Florence, and son in law; David Peterson.
She is survived by her children; Nancy Peterson (Michael) Lazerine, and Allan Bjorklund, brother; Curtis (Karen) Wistrom, sister in laws; Kathy (Donnie) Wistrom, Dorothy (Bert) Wistrom, Joan (Larry) Bjorklund, Phyllis (Joe) Hoffman, brother-in-law; Virgil (Elaine) Bjorklund, 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, along with many other family and friends.
The family would like to thank the entire staff at Burnett Medical Continuing Care Center for their loving compassionate care given to our mother throughout her time there.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Falun with Pastor Jay Ticknor officiating. Interment will be private at Anscarius Cemetery.
